New England Expertise
As a Boston Architect, Matthew brings a deeply rooted design expertise in the Boston area to each of his projects. Born and raised outside of Boston, Matthew worked construction in high school falling in love with building and design. He received his Masters of Architecture from Northeastern University, before working at several award-winning Boston architecture firms including Hacin.
Matthew’s portfolio includes well-known commercial, residential and retail projects in the Boston area including District Hall, Black Lamb, and the James Beard-nominated Shore Leave. Local clients rely on Matthew for his ability to reinterpret the New England vernacular for contemporary life along with his real estate, designer and builder network in Boston and MetroWest. His clients appreciate Matt’s extensive knowledge of New England Architecture and building.

Comprehensive Design & Full-Service Oversight: This premium tier includes complete architectural services, from initial concept through construction administration. It’s ideal for clients seeking a highly detailed, custom design with fully developed interiors, millwork, and material selections. We provide extensive coordination with consultants and builders, ensuring seamless execution and meticulous attention to detail.

Architectural Design
(10-12% of Construction Cost)
Standard Architectural Design & Documentation: This tier offers a balance of design customization and efficiency. It includes full architectural plans, permit-ready drawings, and material recommendations while streamlining construction oversight. Clients benefit from a thoughtful, well-resolved design with essential detailing and consultant coordination, making it a great choice for projects that require quality design without intensive oversight.

Conceptual Design
(5-7% of Construction Cost)
Conceptual Design & Basic Documentation: This tier provides a strong design foundation with essential plans and documentation to guide construction. It includes space planning, layouts, and general material recommendations but does not include extensive detailing or construction oversight. It’s a great option for projects that require a clear design direction with a more streamlined architectural process.
Work With ArnoldAndI’ve structured my pricing into three tiers to provide flexibility and accommodate a range of client needs. Every project is different, and this approach allows you to choose the level of service that best fits your goals, budget, and desired level of architectural involvement. You can start at one tier and graduate to the next as needed, ensuring the right amount of design and oversight at every stage. Additionally, there are spaces in between these tiers that can be tailored on a project-by-project basis to create a truly customized approach.
